Fondazione Nicola Trussardi brought the artwork of Martin Creed to the Humanitas Universit
Good luck message to the students of Humanitas University Campus: “Everything is Going to Be Alright” is among the most famous works by the English artist Martin Creed and it was installed on the facade of one of the buildings in the Campus thanks to the collaboration with the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi.
The institution headed by Beatrice Trussardi commissioned the artist’s work in 2006. It is a quote written in white neon and more than 14 meters long, which today acquires a triple meaning in the new location: a benevolent wish, a message of hope and a declaration of optimism for students, researchers, patients and guests of the facility where each person is placed at the center of every action.
Beatrice Trussardi, President of the Fondazione Trussardi since 1999 affirmed: “If art still exists, it is where we least expect to find it” said Robert Musil. We accepted enthusiastically the invitation of Humanitas, precisely because we made this concept our philosophy and we know how contemporary art is able to help us read our time”.
In 2006 the artwork was installed on the facade of Palazzo Arengario in Milan’s Piazza Duomo: “Now as then, Fondazione Nicola Trussardi brings art into people’s lives in an unexpected way, creating opportunities for reflection to think back to the past and find better approaches to the present”. Lastly, Beatrice Trussardi invited us to reflect on the deep meaning of Creed’s artwork: “Learn to look at things from a different point of view and always get the best out of it”. A wish that the Fondazione also addresses “to all the students who will crowd the Campus, hoping that this message will accompany them every day of their personal and professional path”.
